Did you know what tomorrow is? It is Kiss Your Mate Day! What a perfect day to reacquaint yourself with kissing you partner. Researchers say it is the first thing to stop in a relationship. However, I would like to think the couples who are reading my blog are still kissing on a daily basis.

Whether you are kissing daily or never at all take the time to celebrate this delicious day by making it a point to kiss your mate.

Here are some ideas on when and when to KISS:

• In the morning when you first get up

• Just because Kiss

• Drive-in Movie

• Lovers Point

• While having coffee at your local coffeehouse

• Kiss all over your sweetie’s body

• After dinner

• On the couch (Make out)

• Before you go to bed

• In bed all night long

Invite your sweetie to celebrate the very special and yummy day by writing on a card write:

“Hey huggable, kissable you, let’s celebrate Kiss Your Mate Day all day by kissing each other in the morning, afternoon and all night long.”

What a wonderful and delicious way to celebrate this very special day together.

Looking for an inexpensive date this weekend? Then look no further. I have an idea that shouldn’t cost you a cent.

Go to www.Hulu.com and watch your favorite shows you and your sweetheart haven’t had a chance to watch because you have been too busy. Make a pizza with leftover chicken, pork or steak. Use Boboli Pizza Bread to make your pizza night quick & easy.

Barbequed Chicken Pizza

Barbeque Sauce (your favorite bottled barbeque sause)

Left over chicken, pork or steak cubed

Frozen Corn

Thinly sliced onion (preferably red onion)

Pepper Jack Cheese, Mozzarella, and Jack Cheese (Whatever you have on hand)

Pour a little barbeque sauce on the Boboli Bread, sprinkle the chicken, a little frozen corn and thinly sliced onions on top. Bake at 450° on oven rack for 10 minutes add cheese and put back in oven until melted. Yum!

Don’t like Barbequed Chicken Pizza then go to  www.boboli.com and you will not believe all the pizzas you can make in no time at all. From appetizers to desserts, let your imagination run.

Sit back with a beverage of your choice, your homemade pizza and catch up on the shows you have been missing on Hulu with your sweetheart. No driving around to find a parking place, no crowds, no waitress bothering you. It doesn’t get any better than this hugged up to your sweetie pie.

Now that tax time is over it is time to get back on track by putting your $5 a week away for your romantic weekend. Are you getting any money back from the state or federal income tax? What are you planning on doing with the money? Hopefully, it will be put to good use.

Here are some suggestions on what to do to help improve your relationship:

• Deposit the money in your savings account for emergencies. (Helps to keep a stress free marriage for those unexpected emergencies we all have in life)

• Pay off an outstanding bill (Have a plan this year to live debt free)

Put it toward designing a romantic bedroom for you and your sweetheart

• Plan a romantic getaway

Whatever you decide to do be wise with the money you do get. Try to put some money away for a rainy day and put some towards romance with your sweetheart.

Did you know it is National Scrabble Day today and it is Friday! YAY!!! Celebrate Scrabble Day by playing a game with your sweetheart tonight.

Turn on the music, light the fireplace,  pour a glass of wine, beer or a cup of hot chocolate and get comfortable with your sweetheart. The idea is not to play just any ordinary Scrabble. I want you to play with words that are sexual in nature or loaded with innuendos. This should get you both laughing, talking and getting in the mood for a little lovin.  Your mind will be focused on the pleasures you can give each other and not everything else.

It really doesn’t take a lot of money or time to feel connected with your sweetheart. All you need to do is make special moments happen that help you feel like you are a couple. A little X Rated Scrabble may be just what the doctor ordered to bring back the passion in your life.

So go ahead and celebrate National Scrabble Day……..

What do you do when your sweetheart has been diagnosed with Leukemia? That is exactly what happened to Rhonda and her husband, Randy. One day Randy thought he was fine, the next day the whole family’s life has been turned upside down. On January 24th, Randy was diagnosed with AML Leukemia (Acute Myleoid). Rhonda says they find their strength with a strong faith and a lot of hope.

Rhonda & Randy have been together for 26 years and married for 10 years and are very much in love. Like couples who have been together for a long time they have been through the test of time and the sparkle in their eyes for each other is still there.

They have a typical active 15 year old daughter who will turn 16 in May and is looking forward to getting her driver’s license. Randy is a host in the evening at the famous steak house, Jockos, in Nipomo, CA and is a local handyman, while Rhonda works as an Escrow Officer for one of the major title companies in the area. They like to go fishing and golfing together as a family.

Since January 24th, Randy has been driving down to UCLA to get Chemotherapy, testing and health updates. Rhonda has been going to UCLA with Roxy for his treatment and their daughter has been staying with family and friends so she can continue school and have somewhat of a normal teenage life.

Recently, Rhonda sent an email to everyone with an update on Randy’s health. The oncologist told them that out of 20 cancer cells 18 are chromosome 8 and 2 are chromosome 9. Chromosome 9 cannot be killed with chemo, so Randy needs a bone marrow transplant. The good news is, if they find a match and the transplant is successful, it is also a cure.

They were told that his sister was not a match so they are starting to search the National Bone Marrow Registry. Anyone can become a donor by going to www.marrow.org.

There are over 20 million people worldwide in the registry, but he has to have a perfect match. For the love of her man, Rhonda is asking that anyone interested in joining the registry would be greatly appreciated.

Please go to www.marrow.org if you want to help Rhonda keep the sparks flying with her man for years to come.
