So you and your spouse would like to take a trip overseas. You are saving your money for that dream vacation but it will be a couple of years before you can go. Did you know you could plan a date night around your dream vacation? Listed below are things you can do now to help you feel as if you are getting closer to your destination.

• Buy posters of the Country you want to travel to.
• Go to the library and check out a cookbook and a travel book.
• Rent a foreign film. If you are planning on going to Italy, rent an Italian film or maybe it is France, rent a French film, etc.
• Get a CD or download the music from the Country you plan on going to.
• Take a foreign language class at your local college. (Make sure you know how to say “I love you” in that language.)

Take 10 minutes every night to read the travel book you got and start to write down the places you both want to go to.

Send your kids to their friends or a relative to spend the night. Hang your posters on the wall and make a regional dinner together from the cookbook you got at the library. In the background play your CD you purchased or downloaded, light the candles and enjoy a romantic dinner talking about the places you plan on going to.

After dinner pop in the DVD you rented and enjoy your foreign film. If the kids are spending the night you could continue your quite evening with candles in the bedroom, the CD you got playing in the background. Oh what fun you will have fun pretending you are already there and telling your sweetheart you love them in a foreign language.
