The weekend is here and you want to do something a little different for date night but you have racked you brain and you can’t think of one thing to do together. Larry and I will have those weekend blues too. Nothing sounds good, you’ve been there, done that and you don’t want to do it again.

When was the last time you went to a basketball game or have you ever been to one? What makes a relationship interesting is when you take the time to do something you don’t normally do. Want to get that feeling back when you were in high school or in college then go to a basketball game with your sweetheart. You will be revisiting that feeling of being young and carefree together before you were married. You could each choose a different team and who ever wins gets to choose the date for next week and the other person has to pay for it. If you want to go out to eat before the game go for a hamburger, French fries and soda. If you have room share a hot fudge Sunday.

What, you don’t have the money to spend on going to watch a game or eat out? Then pack a warm picnic lunch, throw on your warm sweats and go to a basketball court and play a game together. Who ever wins gets to choose the date for next week.

Being adventurous together and doing different things on a date is what keeps the sparks flying and your relationship interesting. Even if you didn’t enjoy the game you both will have something you can look back on and laugh together about. We have been on some dates that have turned into flops but we didn’t let that get us down. We laughed about it. Sometimes they end up being some of our most funny and endearing memories together. The way you handle and look at a situation will tell you a lot about how you look and handle your marriage. So bring laughter with you during the good dates and the bad dates. Your relationship will thank you.
